Your hosts, Sandy and James Down welcome you to DownHome B&B, a Niagara-on-the-Lake B&B. Enter our gracious Georgian Bed and Breakfast Accommodation that offers elegance wrapped in an air of tranquility and comfort, with luxury conveniences.

DownHome Bed and Breakfast is situated in “the prettiest town in Canada”, Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. From our place, all Niagara on the Lake Old Town attractions are easily accessed whether by foot or car.
But first, we want you to know all about DownHome B & B, Niagara on the Lake. We are located at the corner of William Street and Victoria Street, 93 William Street, Niagara on the Lake overlooking historic One Mile Creek. 

DownHome B&B has three distinctive bedrooms.  The Beaujolais Bedroom  has a sleigh bed, corner gas fireplace and Juliette balcony and looks out on our garden oasis with pond waterfall and sitting areas.  The Bordeaux Bedroom has a massive four poster bed, sitting area, single person Jacuzzi  tub in the bathroom and overlooks our front garden. The Chardonnay Bedroom has a canopy four poster bed, electric fireplace, sitting area and overlooks our quiet front garden. 

All of our bedrooms have a queen size pillow top mattress bed, four piece ensuite bath with terrycloth robes. For your convenience a mini refrigerator and a thermos of filtered ice wateis also provided.

Our guests, in our Niagara on the Lake Bed and Breakfast, can enjoy the lounge at any time and can make a complimentary cup of coffee, teas, hot chocolate or spiced apple cider.  Cookies and chocolates are always available. One can sit and relax, read a book from our library or play one of our board games.  Satellite TV is available.  One can also check out emails using our complimentary WiFi.  The lounge also has an antique upright grand piano which is a treat for anyone who wants to play.  Maps of the area and info on the Niagara on the Lake attractions are available as is a comprehensive listing of all the restaurants and wineries that Niagara on the Lake has to offer.

Our guests can relax on the deck off of our Dining Room or wander down to our garden oasis and sit next to the pond with waterfall or another sitting area overlooking historic One Mile Creek, a battle ground during the war of 1812 in Niagara. The gardens have perennials and flowering shrubs that provide a symphony of colour from Spring, right through Summer and into Fall.
Our freshly prepared full three course breakfast is served in our antique furnished Dining Room. We utilizes locally grown fruits in season. The main course could be peach omelets, fresh blueberry pancakes, eggs benedict, or baked French toast with Canadian maple syrup. The main course is followed by a small desert. Juice and filtered ice water are also served.  French press coffee or a varied selection of teas is available.

DownHome Bed and Breakfast has partnered with three local restaurants to provide special all inclusive dinner packages.  In Niagara on the Lake, we’re blessed with twelve, four diamond AAA rated restaurants, the most four diamond rated restaurants, per capita, in North America.  We also have 28 wineries and three culinary schools in Niagara on the Lake, easily accessible from DownHome B&B.

We have partnered with the best professional wine tour company in the area to provide three distinct wine tours. One is a straight wine tour while the other two have either lunch or dinner included. We also can provide a customized self-guided wine tour of the area that can either be for cars or bicycles. We provide detailed maps and complementary tasting coupons for a selection of the wineries.
Our romance package includes a dozen roses, a box of ice wine truffles, and a half our horse and carriage ride around Old Town.  Pick up and drop off are from our front door.

On Queen Street, a four minute walk from DownHome, you´ll be able to view buildings dating back to the War of 1812. Now, they house unique shops and galleries for you to explore.

The Niagara Golf Club (opened in 1875), the oldest existing golf course in North America, is only six blocks away. There are 20 golf courses within a half hour drive.
